Where to stay while doing your EFL Course

There are many excellent places to stay close to the university with free shuttle services. Here are a few suggestions. Please ensure you enquire directly with the venue.

Part-time accommodation for international students

Part-time accommodation is available at the Future Africa campus. Here you can mix with and become friends with South African students, and practise your English. You will also have access to free wifi and a library/communal research area. Click here to find out more information on about accommodation at Future Africa. BACHELOR APARTMENTS

Part-time accommodation is available at the Future Africa campus and includes a bed, bathroom with shower and work station. The rooms don't have a kitchenette, but each floor has a communal kitchen, and there are communal areas for all residents. You will also be given a locker in the kitchen to store your goods. Cost per month for 2024 is R5,150 - no meals, free transport to and from campus.

LIVING KIT

For an additional cost students can buy a "living kit", which includes linen, towels, cutlery, crockery and pots.

BUS SERVICE

The bus service is free of charge to residents of these apartments. This service enables students to move between the Future Africa and Hatfield campuses, as well as to get to the shops. 

Extended stay accommodation for EFL students

Within walking distance of Hatfield campus is Brooklyn Guesthouse. They are offering an excellent rate to students from the Centre for Language Learning. Contact the guesthouse directly at info@brooklynguesthouses.co.za to organise your accommodation. Make sure you tell them that you are registered for the EFL course at the Centre for Language Learning.

ACCOMMODATION

International students are offered a discounted rate at Brooklyn Guesthouses.

A budget room R550 per day, with breakfast at R30 (a slice of toast, one egg, and one cup of coffee).  The monthly rate is R16,500 per month for a private room only, or R17400 per month, including breakfast.

The rooms are equipped with a double bed, work station and en-suite bathroom with shower.
